I found this interesting cloud solution almost a year ago. They have two structures that give you cloud storage.
BUCK FOR BYTE (Pay for storage)
BYTE FOR BYTE (Share to get storage)
I was interested in how there BYTE FOR BYTE approach worked. Basically you install their application. What every portion of your HDD you share you get half the amount back to use for cloud storage.
How they work is by using what they call a RAID 96, Basically one piece of data is broken down into 96 pieces and spread out across the internet to different sources. This give high encryption as nobody will have a complete piece of your data they will never be able to read it. Second it allows for a high failure rate, in that you can loose 30 of those sources that hold a piece and you can still retrieve your data.
The first time you install SYMFORM and sync your data with the cloud it uses lots of bandwidth (which you can control when you set it up - there is a schedule that allows you to control how much and when it access the internet)

REAL WORLD SCENARIO:
In my case I now have to put this to the test as I have encountered complete drive failure on my Server and lost my Storage Pool that contained the data.
This Storage pool contained PHOTOS & DOCUMENTS and where backed up with Symform.
I Attempted to recover the drives that failed but wasn't able too. I now am having to rely on Symform to be my saviour.
From my workstation at my desk I logged into my Symform install I have here and one of the options they allow is to backup another sites data to your local storage. I added the DOCUMENTS & PHOTOS and am currently waiting for the download to complete. ....

Two nail biting days if the data will download and all will be ok.
53.6 GB of data showed up after two days.
FINAL RESULT: SYMFORM does what its supposed to do. Recommend this to everyone!!!!
